Review of my TESC Evaluation

So any of you who may have answered a question of mine, probably know that I have a reading comprehension issue so when I received my TESC evaluation it looked like a jumbled mess to me. It's amazing that I can manage to pass the exams at all but so far so good. I have posted my eval below with a list of the tests/courses I have taken. I want to know if they gave me credit for everything and what should I do next. What courses/exams should I focus on? I am going to do Pay Per Credit Tuition so I need 24 hours at TESC to meeting the residency requirement. Does anyone have experience taking these? Thanks in advance for the advice. The sharing of knowledge in this forum certainly changes lives. It has changed mine.

You stated you completed CLEP English Comp, but they should have given you 6 credits for English. Did you take English Comp with essay? If you didn't do the essay, TESC will not accept the credit. I had the same situation.

Pay per credit option = 24cr taken through TESC. You can use TECEP exams as well as guided/online courses. Here's the link to the list of TECEPs Exams Thomas Edison State College: Course Offerings


To make this option affordable you would need to take the required capstone and at least 7 exams (24 credits). There are not that many 300/400 level exams available for Social Sciences degree. But you can use them to affordably fill general education/free electives.

General Education and Free Electives:

A list of the easier options: CIS107 computer concepts and applications, POS101 introduction to poliitical science, MAT105 liberal arts math, JOU110 News reporting, COM210 public relations and thought practices, HIS126 world history.


Area of Study:

There are two slots in area of study A that can be filled by 200 level credit - PSY270 Psychology of Women and SOC210 Marriage and The Family.
The only 300 level Social Science TECEP exam is PSY350 Abnormal Psychology.


I would use DSST 300 level exams to complete the area of study, there are many. And then use CLEP/DSST to fill whatever remaining credits are needed.
