I found this article interesting and thought I'd share....
Will other colleges follow suit? What do you think?
A new reverse transfer program will result in what academic officials hope is a pleasant surprise for some Charter Oak State College students over the holiday break. For the next several weeks, Charter Oak and Naugatuck Valley Community College staff will be reaching out to former students who have transferred 15 credits or more to Charter Oak, and earned at least 60 credits total, to offer an associate degree from NVCC ex post facto.

Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.
Road traveled: AA (2013) > BS (2014) > MS (2016) > Doctorate (2024)

This is an interesting concept. Although, I see little use for an associates degree now that I've already gotten my bachelors. Just the same, it would be nice to be called and told "hey, here's an associates degree if you want it"

I don't see a use for it either since I do have an AA and am working on my BS but like you said, it is an interesting concept.

The CC is just trying to improve its graduation rates. CCs have extremely low graduation rates, probably even lower than for-profit colleges, but I don't think it's something they should be worried about. A lot of people just attend CCs to get transfer credits for a bachelors. They leave before graduating because they don't care about the associates. In my case, I didn't graduate from my CC because they were too picky about requirements and transfer credits. Completing my bachelors at TESC was just so much easier and faster. I even got an associates at the same time.
