Penn Foster, Stats, and TESC
#1
Penn Foster has a correspondence course, Math 160, I think. It's Business Stats. Has anyone taken this course recently? Does anyone have any experience with TESC accepting it for the stats course requirement for the BSBA-GM? Thank you.

I signed up for the course. It's 3 months long. There are three exams, and a proctored final. A scraped by with an "A" for the first exam, and I'm reading the chapters for the second exam. There's lots of homework, and I expect the second exam to be harder than the first. If I ready ACE correctly, it's approved, so TESC should give me credit for it.

Is there a reason why you chose this over straighterline? Did you feel you needed more time? I am attracted to the idea of paying 210 bucks and taking my sweet assed time finishing it. Somehow, I feel if I do straighterline at 99 bucks per month, I don't see myself finishing a statistics course in 1-2 months. Unless SL is that much easier or something. Just don't have that kinda time.

First off, you're not taking your sweet time. You can take up to three months. My employer reimburses some courses, so I figured I'd test what my boss wouldn't cover, and course what he would.

I took Intro to Stats at Aleks.com. TESC accepted it as transfer credit (pass/fail no grade). I did it in like 3-4 long days. The key is to print out the formulas and worksheets as you go along. I printed them as PDF's and then combined all the PDF's into one large SEARCHABLE document. Very helpful.
