Do you know the policy regarding retaking a PASSING CLEP? One of my students just called me. He got a 64 on his Marketing CLEP, however our school requires a 65 to give credit for Marketing.
Since he passed the CLEP, can he retake in less than 90 days?

No. Taking the same exam in less than 90 days is considered to offer the test taker an unfair advantage from having seen many of the same questions somewhat recently.
63 CLEP Sociology
75 CLEP U.S. History II
63 CLEP College Algebra
70 CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature
68 DSST Technical Writing
72 CLEP U.S. History I
77 CLEP College Mathematics
470 DSST Statistics
53 CLEP College Composition
73 CLEP Biology
54 CLEP Chemistry
77 CLEP Information Systems and Computer Applications

If the CLEP system would allow someone to register for a subject test already taken in the last 90 days (not sure it will), the scoring system would invalidate any score received and the 90-day wait period would start all over again. I would not be surprised to find out that the newer system which has required testing candidates to set up an account would keep this from happening.
