Can you suggest the fastest and easiest DSST EXAMS to pass and fastest way to study for them? FEMA credits are not accepted because they do not offer a GPA only a pass/fail. I need to do this quickly my whole future depends on this. Any and all help is grealy appreciated.

Anyway, and Foundations of Education is going to be very basic and cover theories of learning and education history. One small issue, (maybe not) one is DSST and one is CLEP which means finding 2 testing centers and paying for 2 transcripts.
Or, take DSST Foundations of Education and DSST Lifespan Development Psychology. That's their 'development' test.

Right from Clep Boards:
Because writing about literary texts is central to the study of literature, some colleges may require candidates to take an optional essay section in addition to the multiple-choice section. The essay section is 90 minutes long and is made up of two 45-minute questions. One question asks candidates to analyze a short poem, the other asks them to apply a given generalization about literature (such as the function of a theme or a technique) to a novel, short story, or play that they have read. The essay section is still administered in a paper-and-pencil format; the essay responses are graded by the institution, not by the College Board.

These are optional not required. It will depend on rather or not your employer (in this case) requires them. I doubt they are familiar enough with CLEP A&I lit to even know about the option....but this is a weird situation your in. Call the local CC testing center and see what they require for this exam....you could take it today and pass it probably...it isn't that tough.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

See our suggestions above. Choose one or two that seem nice and nonthreatening, and just start studying. If you don't pass either or both, you'll
still have a shortlist to go back to.
The company that maintains this board and puts up with us, InstantCert, has a
flashcard program for many DSST and CLEP tests. It's sold by monthly or multi-month subscription. It's the same one subscription no matter which test or tests you're studying for. You'll want to subscribe to it, and just jump in.
For DSST tests, the DSST program offers free pdf factsheets for every test. Just go to the
Test Preparation page on the DSST site and click on the title of the exam. Each factsheet includes a list of recommended textbooks, and usually just choosing one general text from the list will be a tremendous help. Past editions of textbooks make sense for studying for DSST and CLEP tests. They're often free from libraries, or extremely cheap for sale.

This is how CUNY scores the A&I lit CLEP
CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies | CLEP Credits and other Credits by Exam
Note they only give 3 credits (not the usual 6) but they don't require the optional essay....in fact they won't even score it.
An excerpt:
"Please note that CUNY BA does not offer credits for the optional additional essay sections that are available for the exams in American Literature, Analyzing and Interpreting Literature, English Literature, and College Composition.
American Literature 50 3 Literature or Humanities U.S. Experience
Analyzing and Interpreting Literature 50 3 Literature or Humanities Creative Expression
English Literature 50 3 Literature or Humanities World Cultures
College Composition 50 6 N/A English Comp 1+2"

Yeah: mom2arianna, note that the A&I essays "are graded by the institution." The CLEP people don't have anybody to look at them, they just send them along to the rare participating colleges that require essays. Such a college will grade the essays in house.
Does your employer have a relationship set up with CLEP such that CLEP will send them A&I essays at all? Does your employer have staff to grade college A&I essays? It's unlikely.

Even without taking the essay portion CLEP will send a transcript to your employer stating something like "Analyzing and Interpreting Literature...6 credits...PASS" If thats all you need that's all you need.

I am a little confused as you mentioned your employer would not take FEMA credits because they are a pass/fail and you need a letter grade. Is this correct? If yes, this is also how the CLEP and DSST exams are scored. It is the university that decides whether to assign a letter grade and I only know of a couple in the US that do this.

Cook's suggestions make sense too....take a look at those over on freeclepprep.com and see how you feel about them.
I missed the part about your employer requiring a letter grade...if that's true then you may not be able to use credit by exam for any of this...CLEP/DSST are typically pass/fail (though that varies a little here and there).
