I didn't offer it as a strategy, I simply suggested what I thought
might be a reason someone would ask about removing a class from their ACE transcript. I pointed out, there are 2 reasons that might fail, reason #2 of course is the biggie.

I have never seen a college take off one of their grades off an official transcript.
I have seen ACE take of TWO courses without my request off my official transcript.:ack:
I love how you can order a direct CLEP/DSST transcript just with the classes you want to show.cheersmate

Part of the reason you can do this is that ACE is not a school - so you have some options there. A regular school will not remove courses from your transcript - and I'm here to tell you, there are PLENTY of us who would take that option if they had it. Who in their right mind wouldn't ask that a D or F grade be removed if that was an option? Bummer.

Even states with grade forgiveness legislation don't remove grades from a transcript. In Texas, when you invoke Texas Academic Fresh Start to remove all grades more than 10 years old, the courses and grades remain on your transcript. You just get a new GPA computed that doesn't include any courses more than 10 years old.

That's a great point. I think even the AAS BOG program will "forgive" your grades, but they remain on your transcript.
