Registering for TEEX?
#1
Hello everyone,

I'm still fairly new to this. I need one business elective credit to fulfill my remaining 9 for a BSBA.

I've been suggested to use TEEX (by the way, you guys are the best for helping out others!) but I can't seem to find a way to register? The registration page requires a Class ID number before you can continue, "Please enter the Class Id from your brochure or pamphlet."

Does anyone know whether I'm on the wrong (this is the only register page on the website...) page or if this is a new requirement? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

start here
https://teex.org/Pages/Program.aspx?catI...ersecurity

click on
Online for Everyone - Non-Technical (Cyber 101)

click on the first
Details

click on
See full course information and schedule

click
Register

a window pops up
down hear the bottom of that window, where it asks for "Number of participants"
click on the Register button

that stakes you to Step 2

click on
New Participant

fill it out

for all these I put "other"
Position title
Company/Oragnization
Level of Government
Participant Discipline

you have to scroll down that window and click the Submit button

there's more you have to do

but that will get you started

When you mention Cyber 101, is that the course? I'm looking to take a business course, that's all.

Thank you though!

I am only familiar with the 3 free Cyber security courses. Anything else and you're on your own.

one or two of the cyber courses are accepted as business electives. I don't remember which off the top of my head though...

Since TEEX is only 2 credit for each cybersecurity course, you would need 2 to fill a business elective of 3 credit.

In my case it seemed like they used these two
CYB-301-TX CyberSecurity for Business Professional
CYB-201-TX CyberSecurity for IT Professional

Its recorded in my Business Electives section as

1.. CIS-344 Computer Security........ (2.00) --- CIS-344 *PL *TE
1.. CIS-299 Independent Study........ (2.00) --- CIS-299 *PL *TE

You could send a help desk ticket with those 2 courses to check out.

For 3 CR you need to register 2 classes. Choose two of the following:

Online for Business Professionals (Cyber 301) ( Cyber 301 is considered UL credits.)
Online for Everyone - Non-Technical (Cyber 101)
Online for IT Professionals (Cyber 201)

Ignore: "Community Cybersecurity"

I think for business CR, you may need to pick Cyber 201 and 301. Not totally sure, you should find that out from your counselor?

Each course has 3-4 classes/tracks which are labeled by their respective course names: "AWR###" .
You need to take all the grouped AWR### "tracks" to complete the corresponding course (3-4 tracks per course).

To start click on one of the tracks you wish to take, click on the Track, then Click Register (you must use "register" for every track you wish to take) (Don't click on eCampus login).

A popup should appear with "Class Information", click register.
Then Click "NEW PARTICIPANT"

Fill out the necessary information (Those marked with a RED asterisk * ). Use "Other" for the questions that do not apply to you.
Once you've registered, you will be emailed/shown your TEEX ID.

Now to register for the other classes, Click Register for your class track and instead of clicking "New Participant", under "Returning TEEX Participant" , Fill in your LAST NAME, and TEEX ID and press "Retrieve Participant information" and it should bring you to another page to register.
