A friend just completed the last 2 courses of his BA today (capstone/ info lit), is under the tuition per credit plan & just paid the residency waiver a few days ago. He just received an email with a graduation audit saying that he needs 16 more credits... anyone know what’s up with that? Pretty weird. We’re thinking it was sent in error.

One thing to consider is that there is a difference between easy (meaning not intellectually challenging) and easy (meaning light workload). TESU classes are notorious for lengthy written assignments that require citing multiple sources. I dropped meteorology because each weekly assignment required 4 different sources (more than the course material provided). What should have been 'easy' was going to be a massive time sink.
16 hours would be doable but the courses would need to be carefully selected. It sounds good on paper as a money saving exercise but in reality would be quite brutal. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

How did TESU respond when he inquired about the discrepancies? It looks like his grades didn't yet post for the 6 hours and the degree audit doesn't see the fee.
Maybe respond back with proof of his residency fee waiver payment and indicate what grades he received?
