How many credits can you transfer to TESU?
#1
TESU says they'll only accept 80 credits from a 2-Year college and 120 credits from a 4-Year.

Is ACE considered a 2-Year or 4-Year?

If I have 100 credits banked at ACE, and each one of them can fit into TESU's BALS degree, will TESU accept all 100?

You can potentially transfer everything except for the capstone.

ACE does not count as 2/4 year colleges, but you can not transfer more than 90 cr from any ACE/NCCRS source.

They will take 117 credits in (actually more, but you'll still have to take the capstone).

To clarify what jsd said, they will take as many ACE/NCCRS credits as you want, but not more than 90cr from a single source (ACE itself is not a source, so 90cr from somewhere like SL, Study.com, CLEP, etc.).

Can you switch credits out once you reach 90?
#5
If my memory serves me well, I was able to transfer about 144 credits in total (ACE, SL, CLEP and other).

Yes, you can tell them which credits you want used.

Cool, makes sense. Thanks guys.

So if I got 50 credits from Straighterline, 10 from Sophia, 30 from Shmoop, and 20 from Study.com (110 credits total) on my ACE Transcript, I can transfer all 110 credits over to TESU.

You can transfer in way more than 120, they just show up as "other courses" on the transcript. Only 117 will count toward the degree and you'll always have to take the capstone. It's very rare anyone will have exactly 120 credits - especially if you transfer from another school, changed your major or took classes that just don't fit anywhere. Some people will even take extra courses if they know they will be needed as prereqs for grad school. They may not be needed for TESU, but still beneficial to take them and get them on an undergrad transcript.
