TESU BA Liberal Studies or BS Professional Studies?

My homeschooled daughter has recently completed her High School requirements while also earning 45 college credits. She initially had the goal of an Associate degree in General Studies from TESU. Now that she sees that the cost of the residency waiver is the same for both degrees, she's going to continue on and earn the Bachelor degree instead of pausing to earn the Associate degree. I want to find the most flexible option for her. I have searched the BA in Liberal Studies and also the BS in Professional Studies and they both seem to be a good fit. Please share your experiences with either one of these options. I have also included her credits earned in hopes of advise of any sort! Thanks! Debbie

Both of those degrees are mostly just box-checking degrees for folks whose current employers require a diploma. Does she have any idea what she wants to do with her degree? In most situations, it'd suit her better to get into something more specific that she can build upon.

Nowadays, many jobs require a specific set of majors instead of any BA degree to satisfy the checkbox. The most common variation is business administration, which happens to be easy to test out at TESU and cheaper than liberal studies. If I were to pick a general degree, the most general degree I would go for is business administration. IMHO, liberal studies and professional studies are just too broad nowadays and she might end up having to spend considerable time and money getting another degree to qualify for a job. Recently, I took a job promotion that required business, CIS, or computer science, so I had to go back and spend 9 months and money on a 2nd BA. The jobs above that have specific degree requirements as well. In other words, I agree it's best to be more specific.
