I agree with the other posters about the Intro to Business exam. Plus, if (oops, I mean when) he decides to take Marketing, Supervision, HR, etc., he'll already have a little understanding of those subjects.
Man, I wish I'd had that much initiative at 14. Or 20. Or 25. Or........
Best wishes,

It's not initiative, I'm his teacher LOL hilarious

You must be so proud of your children accomplishing what many four times their age can't accomplish. Wonderful!

Excellent tips everyone- thanks so much. Geezer- wow, excellent tip to contact SCORE. I think I will do that. We did a family business project a few summers ago, and SCORE was very helpful, not sure why I didn't think of that!
Anyway, I am leaning toward marketing because of the videos- very cool, thanks brothermike.
I'm glad I asked, I figured intro business would be a great place to start, but after reading through the specific exam feedback, I'm going to push marketing. Besides, I think (from my high school days) that was a fun subject. I was big into Junior Achievement back then, so I have fond memories of being a young business-person.
Cframe- was econ your daughter's first subject? I'm in unfamiliar territory!

If he is computers savy and can memorize a few acronyms, he can take this test. Most kids have a good start on this.
EC - BSLS Finally done!
Went from 86 to 120 credits in six weeks thanks to IC and the forum.
Currently doing MBA pre-reqs.
Now BSLS + 9 credits

Jennifer,
My daughter started Clepping the summer before her 7th grade year. If it helps, here's her list in order of what she has taken so far:
Introduction to Computers
Introduction to World Religions
English Comp with Essay
Western Civilization I
Analyzing and Interp Literature (without essay)
History of the US I and II
College Mathematics
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics
Principles of Marketing
Intro to Business
Environment and Humanity
Business Math
English Literature
UP NEXT: The Principles of Supervision and the P of MGMT
To get started with Introduction to Computers, we followed the guidelines posted on this website specifically for homeschoolers:
CLEP LESSON PLANS
For the Business series, we started with Junior Achievement's Economics curriculum and worked through that adding in projects from the two books I mentioned in the previous post. This is a fabulous curriculum. Let me know if you can't get your hands on it and we can work something out. She worked on this through the school year, Clepping Micro mid-way through and Macro at the end. Between the two, we sprinkled in Marketing, Intro to Bus and Business Math. After Macro she will finish up with Supervision and Mgmt. While this sounds like a lot, it still fit in the time frame of less than an hour a day in the Social Studies category for school.
Some other friends her same age found Economics a bit much to grasp at this age, so it isn't a one-size-fits-all.
Combining High School with Clepping is my forte. Your posts have been such a huge help to our family, I'd love to repay the favor

Excellent!! I also love JA, my little ones just finished (literally 5 minutes ago) playing a JA business game. I might need your help finding JA material, these were given to me. Can I email you his tentative high school transcript? It's a rough draft, and I'm likely to change it - oh- 700 more times, but I'd love to have another set of eyes give it the once over.
