If you look under the "Business Electives" section you'll see I have Business Mathematics. Based on what else I'm taking do you know of an easy straighterline or Pen Foster course that I could substitute there???? I'm currently working in China so unfortunately I have to take all my exams September of this year when I go back home for a one month vacation. They don't offer CLEP or DSST outside the US in many places. I'm trying to cut down on my study time and although I can do the math I prefer not to.

How about ALEKS Business Statistics? For BSBA degrees only that transfers to TESC as OPM-351 (Operations Management). If you take only a month to complete you'll have spent just $20 to get 3 credits under Business electives!

Thank you.
That's the kind of guidance I'm looking for. So since Principles of Statistics is STA-201 I guess that I can take the business statistics ALEKS course as well. Anyone else have any good suggestions?

Actually you can do all your math via ALEKS for TESC. ALEKS trig is good enough for your pre-cal requirement, and ALEKS intro stats fills STA-201, plus ALEKS biz stats filling OPM as an elective. So for $20/month you can cut out ALL of your math CLEPs. You can also get credit for College Algebra and/or Intermediate Algebra through ALEKS and fill up some gen eds and eliminate one or two more CLEP tests to take the pressure off. I know they give credit for Intermediate, but they have a limit on how much math you can get below calculus, so if you only need one you can take Intermediate since its easier.
Rereading... Am I to understand you plan to completely (or almost completely) test out of your degree AT ONCE?

You're reading correctly. I'm testing out of almost the whole thing in a single month. Or die trying. LOL The real problem for me is since I have to take them all in the same month it means I'll be taking two exams a day from tues through saturday for 3 weeks straight. It would be far easier to prepare for them one by one but I don't have that luxury because I'm only in San Diego for a month out of the year (my one month unpaid vacation). I will be taking the Managerial Business communications through TESC as a course so I'll get a GPA. While I appreciate your feedback the whole purpose of my original question is to find a non-math alternative to business math. Are you saying I have to have a certain number of math classes in this degree plan??
My basic plan is anything I don't pass in September (which is unlikely since I'm already hitting 50's or better on 18 of these exams practice tests) I'll take as a course later on. I'm sure I'll be able to pull it off, I'm very regimented and I only work about three days a week so lots of study time.
I'm also looking at Macro and Microecon, stats, and precalc and wondering if I'd be better off taking them through straighterline BEFORE my exams in September just to lighten the amount I'll have to hold in my head and give me more time to spend with family.

You could take both the Penn Foster business and technical writing (TESC ENG216) and Straighterline business communications (COM300). Both are very similar material and you could use one for the communications requirement and the other as a business elective.
If you then want to take a TESC course, swap living in the information age (SOS110) for substance abuse dsst in your social science category. The course is online, all discussion forum and written assignments. Two of the papers substitute for the midterm and final. The course also has some basic skills online quizzes.
Good luck! Your plan looks brutal.

I read on another thread that TESC won't allow 2 stats classes in a bsba. (1) Did I read wrong? The other question is about taking the straighterline business communications for the TESC requirement. (2) So basically your telling me that I'd be better off taking the SLine course for that one because then I'll score an easy "A" in "living in the information age (SOS110)"? One last thing....I already signed up for the ALEKS trig (thanks so much for the recommend) I feel foolish for asking redundant questions but it appears that as soon as I've mastered 70% of the material (based on the little pie chart) then I can get credit from ACE. (3) Is there something else I'm missing with the ALEKS thing. It seems a little too good to be true. Thank you bricabrac, irishjohn and dcan.

I can confirm TESC does allow both intro and business stats (STA201, OPM351) for the BSBA degrees.
No, the reason for referring SOS110 was not for an easy A; it was a course that is both social science credit and a substitute for substance abuse dantes exam. I understood from your initial post you wanted to take more course work (PF, SL) in lieu of the number of tests you would have to take in one month; both the PF and SL courses allow for similar coursework that could be completed in two weeks.
In Aleks you have to earn 70% better in one single assessment. Once you feel you've learned enough of the subjects in your pie, log off of the student account and go into the master, request a new assessment and log off. Log back in to the student account and retake the assessment. If you earn 70%+ you then log out and go to your ACE account to request the course added to your transcript. Once it is officially added to your ACE transcript you can then move to the next subject. You can search the forums for more detailed instructions. I would take as many Aleks courses as you can stomach, they are cheap credit. You can earn up to 15 credits towards your degree by taking: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trig or Precalculus, Intro Stats and Business Stats.

That's incredible. Looks like you do understand the ALEKS process now. Yes, I was offering you "extra math" but my point was to offer you alternatives that you could grind through for credit now. Basically by doing ALEKS you can get ALL of your math requirements (plus some extra gen ed elective requirements, e.g. college algebra etc) out of the way now and then not stress about all that math when you take the tests in September.
I would milk ALEKS for every possible credit to cut down on the number of tests, then milk Straighterline the same way.
Also, given your situation do not discount taking cheaper distance learning courses from community colleges or 4-year colleges that you can transfer in to meet requirements for your degree. Just be sure to ask TESC about what a class maps to.
If any place can get you through this successfully this forum can. If you can pull this off you will be an instant legend.
