Thomas Edison State College Question
#1
Okay , in a not too veiled effort to skirt around my science choices of biology or natural science....TESC office closed so I couldn't ask them...let's say I took "Here' To Your Health" {which I did and passed} and then something like The Race To Save the Planet", would that satisfy my six credits of the dreaded science requirement??????????

 OKAY..but just think of it this way..one course down in science and the other course..Save the Environment {easy one}...and by doing this, if it meets the TESC science requirement....will then probably SAVE my sanity. SOOOO..will it work? He says prayerfully ,bending on one knee.

RBOWMAN,

You already passed Here's to Your Health...so either way, you only need one more exam to fulfill the remaining 3 credits of your science requirement. That 'other' exam could either be Environment & Humanity for 3 credits, or Natural Science for 6 credits.

Since Natural Science is a 6-credit exam, and becuase it is giving you the willies, I would just go ahead and study for the 3-credit E&H. No stress, no struggle. Just study for it, take it, pass it, and move on!

Best of luck,
Snazzlefrag

I'm not a TESC student, but I remember looking up their catalog (http://www.tesc.edu/catalog/pdf/catalog.pdf), and it lists the DSST Here's to your Health under Human Services, not Natural Sciences/Mathematics. The information is on printed page 121. This may or may not apply to you particularly, though, just thought I'd share. Smile

There is such an unreasonable fear on my part about science and math that it's not funny. With only to corses to go and a huge sense of urgency whatever I can do to expedtite my graduation is essential. I sincerely thank you for your feedback. You guys are great!! Thanks!!

RBOWMAN, I know exactly how you feel about the math and sciences. As far as the Natural Sciences CLEP, I began studying for it in June-05, and didn't actually take it until Nov-05. Five months for ONE TEST! I was so insecure about it, and felt I could never possibly know all the information necessary to pass; I was overwhelmed and procrastinated. But I finally dove in and studied heavily, and passed with a nice margin with a 60. Whew! Now I'm dreading the College Algebra CLEP. I'm kinda jealous you get to take College Mathematics. hilarious

But seriously, have you tried using some of the sites out there geared toward helping students with math homework, etc.? Some of them are really helpful and user friendly.

Anar579...interesting choice of name, by the way,I will tell you a funny story. In my first life I supervised 1400 retail stores at over $ 500,000,000.00 in volume. Then i got to be over fifty and making way too much money and had stock about to vest taht was worth alot because our company stock had gone from $ 3.00 to $ 110.00 a share. Soooooo... I was a victim of cost cutting and here Iam today sweating a stupid college math and science test. God has interesting ways of humbling all of us and I have been sufficiently humbled. I'll try and find those sites you referenced and get on with my testing. Take care !
