Its been a while since I've been here. I enrolled into TESC for the Per Credit tuition plan early last year, hoping to test out and get that management degree for around 2K. I enrolled in one TECEP, but couldnt even take the exam because I was in intensive care by that time. Now that I'm better, I want to finally start and finish my degree. I called them yesterday and I am still enrolled, so I don't have to re-apply from fresh.
I've read some prior posts and it seems like things have changed. Am I understanding it right that TESU now requires 16 residency credits now, but that you can essentially drop them by paying $2000?
So, can I still take the CLEP/DANTES and TECEPs like before and just pay the additional 2K? I'm also thinking of switching my major to the new Healthcare Administration.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: They decreased the residency requirement to 16 units, but TECEPS and PLA no longer count toward filling it, so instead of just paying for 8 TECEPS, you end up paying the 2k waiver. So if you want, you can substitute other credit sources for some/all of the TECEPs you were planning. No reason to cough the 2k up until it's time to graduate. They also added a $300, 1cr Cornerstone requirement if you weren't enrolled before May 25... I'm not sure, since you didn't take and pass your TECEP, whether it would apply to you or not.

Yes, you can still test out of this degree, the 6 courses for the Area of Study will have to come from CSU-Global, which are $250/course. The remainder of the degree can come from CLEP/DSST/Saylor/SL, etc. just like before.
One last change - you will have to take the Strategic Management capstone as a course at TESU or a TECEP if you haven't completed it before a certain date. Previously, you could transfer it in, but that is going away.
