I have been working on the Accounting/CPA program. I just had a curiosity about throwing a dual degree in Finance after I'm done with Accounting. Or should I just use the electives to throw in Finance courses and do it that way? Is this something TESU even does?

Normally you can do the dual degree with a BSBA easily - you just add 6 courses (4 UL) in the other AOS. Very simple.
With the Accounting/CPA track though, I'm not sure. You're already going to have to do 30cr extra (for your state anyway, and you want that all on your transcript), so adding another 18cr seems kind of nuts.
Especially because you can't test out of the FIN requirements: you can do 2 TECEP's ($114 each), 1 CSU-Global CBE ($250) and 1 PF course ($299), and then 2 additional FIN courses from somewhere else. So it's a more expensive and time-consuming AOS even without the extra courses you'd need for the CPA. Probably at least $2000-3000 extra.

Sincerely for Dual Degrees you have to look at the catalog and ask the Advisor when you are enrolled.
Whatever the Advisor replies according to their policies is what they will follow.
Do not forget to print out the reply email together with the name and date when they replied to you.
Once it is in writing they will comply with the information provided to you.
Unfortunately this is as much information that I can give you (personal experience), because I never tried to do a dual degree.
Best of luck.

Specifically for the Accounting/CPA/State of Florida track, all 30 credits beyond the 120cr required for the degree have to be in Accounting. The BSBA Finance degree requires 18cr of FIN courses. So unless the OP could find courses that were accounting AND finance related, it would be really hard to incorporate the finance degree into the accounting requirements.
But please, feel free to find him some of those courses! If you can find them, I'm sure they will come in handy for others. I only know of 4 inexpensive ones.
