I know its a bad title, but here is what my issue is. I'm an LPN and I want to get my RN/BSN. The school I want to go to has a Accelerated BSN program that is 16 months if you have already have a Bachelors degree, plus all you need to take is the nursing courses plus things like A&P, Micro, Patho etc. I've already taken A&P and plan on doing Micro this summer. I was looking at TESC BALS because I want to take advantage of the free electives thru fema. Is the BALS the easiest one to complete via testing out thru cleps/dsst? Or is their another program that may be better?
Here is what I have done so far:
English Comp I & II - SL in progress
College Algebra - SL done
A & P I & II - done B&M (where do these fall in the BALS program?)
I think I am up to 10 Femas done so far
I'm trying to put together a plan so I know what I need to test out of each month in order to finish by the end of the year.

Yes I think the bals is quickest but the bs in learner designed area of study might allow more fema credits.
Check out the tesc site they have an example ldas form where the guy used femas and some other concentration to create a degree program.
bals requires a lot of arts and sciences classes and only allows so many free electives which is where the femas fall.

I just ran across the BA in Real Estate also. I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker and I completed the Real Estate Appraiser program for my state. I'm wondering if those to licenses would take care of the specific program elective requirements for the real estate courses and I would only need to take the other requirements like economics, finance, etc.

I don't see them listed on the site but that doesn' mean they won't grant credit for them.
I would recommend paying the 75 dollars to apply and sending in your transcripts and emailing
[email protected] to ask about the licenses and what credit they may give.

Ok another question! I have very little credits right now and not that many transcripts? If I apply and pay the 75 send in what I have and in 3 months when I completed maybe 3-4 cleps and 2 aleks courses, do I have to pay another $75 fee or just send in those transcripts? Sorry - newbie here!

Just keep sending your transcripts in as you get your tests/course done. Your eval is good for 6 months after they do it. It does take a while for them to up date transcripts. Good Luck

I would do the 75 bucks immediately and send your transcripts immediately. Don't even wait to see that they received them. After you pay the 75 bucks you will get approved and given a student id and a login.
Then go take some clep tests and put thomas edison state college in New Jersey in as the receiving school.
When you test, your scores go to the college board for 20 years and also to the school you chose. TESC will take their sweet time posting them to your transcript but it doesn't matter, just keep testing and they will keep posting them to you transcript. When you have questions email
[email protected] with your major in the subject line, eg: question about BALS.
Its pretty simple. Update us on the board when you have chosen your degree program and have taken a shot at mapping out a plan. People will help fix up your plan and give advice what test to do next.

Somebody please correct if I am wrong, but you will probaly not need FEMA credits because your nursing classes should fall under free electives. I was thinking of going the same route, but am choosing to do Rn to Bsn.
