I thought I liked the West Virginia Board of Governors Associate of Applied Science degree too, until I started putting your credits in a degree plan.
They give fewer credits for some exams (3 for Composition, Analyzing Lit) and don't accept others (Psych, Marketing). I am also fairly certain they would only accept their in-house PLA development for credit.

Besides their in house PLA, they accept ACE credits and CLEP, no corner stone or capstone, no semester fees. Worst case scenario OP may need to complete a couple of free courses like TEEX to meet the credit requirement.

Do you have a different CLEP guide? The one I found excluded several exams and gave 3 hours instead of 6 for some of the exams. If they have changed that, great!

Ah...that could be a problem, but on the other hand, I passed a&I Lit before it was downgraded. But I know English varies by school... Do you have the BOG guide link? I'll take a look and see what I can find.

So far COSC sounds like a good option of BOG doesn't like my credit spread...

According to the catalog on page 58 they conform West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education and Higher Education Policy Commission. It is vague, I would assume it would be the same as WVUP's clep policy which they have posted and seems to be the same so far for all WV schools:
A 15 min call should straighten it out for OP on Monday.

Videogamesrock for the win. I just searched through the WVNCC catalog and found this:
General Exams â
Students who attain the score required by the model policy of the Council on College Level Examinations of the College Board may receive credit for
General Examinations. Such credit in general education may not meet specific program requirements, in which case the credit may be used as elective credit.
Subject Examinations â
Students may be awarded credit for the successful completion of any or all CLEP and PEP Subject Examinations presently offered or developed in the future, provided they achieve a score equal to or above the recommended scores of the Commission on Educational Credit and Credentials of the American Council
on Education for CLEP examinations or the University of New York and American College Testing Program current at the time the examination is taken. Credit will be awarded for the number of semesters for which the examinations were designed. Grades will not be assigned, and the credit will not be included in the
computation of studentâs grade point average. The credit earned on CLEP and PEP Subject Examinations will be equated with existing course offerings at West Virginia Northern. If no equivalent course is offered at West Virginia Northern, the credit earned by CLEP and PEP examinations may be considered elective credit.
OP, you should definitely apply. Perhaps get those free TEEX Cybersecurity credits to fulfill the computer requirement, just in case?

Here is how your credits might work in a degree plan. Another reason to get the TEEX Cybersecurity credits would be to have 15 credits towards an Area of Emphasis in Business, which they will list on the degree.
West Virginia Northern Community College
Board of Governors AAS
1. COM 1: College Composition I (CLEP, 6 credits)
2. COM 2: (from CLEP above)
3. SCI: Sophia Human Biology 3
4. MATH: Sophia Intro to Statistics 3
5. SOC: CLEP Sociology 3
6: HUM: CLEP Humanities (General) 6
7. COMP: TEEX Cybersecurity 4
8: ELEC 1: CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature 6
9. ELEC 2: CLEP Social Sciences and History 6
10. ELEC 3: CLEP U.S. History I 3
11. ELEC 4: CLEP U.S. History II 3
12. ELEC 5: CLEP American Government 3
13. ELEC 6: CLEP Intro to Management 3
14. ELEC 7: Sophia Project Management 3 UL
15. ELEC 8: CLEP Business Law 3
16. ELEC 9: CLEP Intro Psych 3
17. ELEC 10: CLEP Intro to Marketing 3
18. ELEC 11: Insurance Agents Exam Ethics (2 credits)
19. ELEC 12: Documenting College Experience, 3 credits
You would have a smidge over the 60 credits needed, but I listed them all for convenience here. ELEC is elective credit.

According to College Boards WVNCC does not take Clep English Comp or English Comp Mod. They only give 3 credits for A& I Lit, Eng Lit, Humanities and American Lit.
