They told me again today that you have to pay the residency waiver to earn a 2nd degree. Dangett.

Is that a BA after an AA, or a second bachelor's degree? I think the question people were asking was if the RW counted towards a BA after an AA.

They said "if you decide to pursue another degree via TESU, and do not meet the 16 credit residency, there is a POSSIBILITY (emphasis mine) you will have to pay the residency waiver again". So, not even TESU knows for sure. This person told me you pay it again, another one told me you pay it once and you're covered for life. Sure with they would come up with something concrete.
This was disappointing to hear.
I just know I would ALWAYS get the associates at the same time to be on the safe side. Or get it from somewhere else like the BOG ones. They could tell you one thing and then bill you for another, who knows.

Yes - the only thing you need to do with a second degree is get 24 new credits in the AOS.
Also, you can't get those 24cr until AFTER the degree is CONFERRED. So for example, don't think that you can apply for March graduation on Jan 1, with all of your credits completed and transferred in, and then immediately start racking up credits. You have to wait until you get the email (or mail) saying that your degree has been conferred, and then you can start getting the credits.
BTW - this does not mean that you couldn't START courses before the conferral, it just means that you can't finish them before then.

Thank you very much! For further clarification, does this mean that, let's say if I'm going through courses via SL, I should not be taking final exams until after my degree is conferred?

Just don't send the ACE transcript.

I could finish the exams and have them added to my ACE transcript, but I shouldn't send the transcript to my current school?

I've sent my transcript already several months ago and have transferred in 30 ACE credits; will there by any issue if I continue adding courses?
