Question about transferring clep/dsst that were previously awarded credit
#1
I apologize if this has been answered, I could not find it in the search. For the big 3, or any school really, do I need to send clep and dsst transcript if they have previously been awarded credit? I previously have a BSc in business from excelsior which consists of about half clep/dsst. Context is that I am looking to get another BSc.

My first thought is that they are now just credits transferring in from excelsior so the actual clep/dsst transcripts don't matter. I called and got the clep one sent over but dsst is a little more involved.

My second thought is that some schools outside of the big 3 have limits on clep/dsst, since they are now "laundered" would this bypass those limits since they're technically credits from Excelsior.

It'll be obvious on transcripts that the CLEP/DSST credit is not from the school, Excelsior will list it as transfer credit and will not launder it. The new school will want the original CLEP/DSST transcripts.

Since you're using undergraduate credit toward another undergraduate degree, for sure YES they will want all of the original transcripts again and they will be evaluated individually again (because they are not locked inside an articulation agreement for transfer).
If you were applying for a graduate degree, you'd likely get away with only sending your final undergrad transcript and NOT exam transcripts.

EDIT: I wanted to add that "previously awarded credit" is irrelevant. If you want a deeper understanding, here's a longer answer https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/credit-la...eader-card

My CLEPs and DSSTs were on my transcript from Palm Beach State College, I still sent them separately to TESU and expect EC would be the same.
