New CSU Global SSAs in Accounting
#11
If you are taking a course for the full tuition cost (ex. $1000), then you can take a 3 credit SSA for $250.
IF You are not taking a normal class. You will pay full tuition (ex. $1000) to take a single SSA.

Terrible deal in my opinion.

I started this journey in the summer of 2016.  I hoped to be done sooner, but I am still proud of the rate at which I have gotten my schooling done with respect to the many months of military training and deployments I have undergone.

The SSAs are $250. IF. You are taking an actual class with it.  If you want to only take the SSA you pay full tuition. (As far as I’m aware this policy only applies to 200,300, and 400 level class. Gen ed 100 level classes can be done solo for the $250 price.)

I am so confused.  So, if you're taking the class you're already paying full price for, you can take the tuition as well, for an additional $250??  Why would anyone do this?

What he's describing sounds like paying to take a regular in a different subject in the same term you're taking an SSA. It's kind of like how Strayer University won't transcript your credit-by-exams unless you're taking courses from them, or TESU's old policy of charging people more for TECEPs if they weren't enrolled students.

Hopefully, I'll get an answer from CSU Global today. Their website clearly says that SSAs are $250.

Response from a CSU Global student success advisor.

"All SSA exams are going to be $250 and it does not matter the level of the exam. You do not have to be current in a course to receive this price. If you would like to be registered for an SSA exam, let me know and I can get this set up for you."

Got a completely different response from the advisor I spoke with. Now to find out which is telling the truth and which is either lying or is horrible at their job.

Since SSAs are advertised at $250 on the website, I'm sure that information is correct. There are no disclaimers about having to be an enrolled student.

Can you DM me the email address for your contact? The advisor Iw as assigned to sadi I can't take a SSA without also taking a course!

I was told that enroling in an SSA without a (different) course is just not possible at all.
