Background: I registered to take a course at Charter Oak and I wanted to stay in a section of that course. I'm not sure if it's by error of their Student Self Service system or not, but I have been switched to a different section and want to be put back into the one I wanted. However, they took away the option that allows me to switch back into that section, and classes begin on Tuesday.
Will Charter Oak be able to put me in the right section on Tuesday, even though the course begins that day? I cannot contact them until then, as they are closed this weekend and on Monday.
Does anyone have experience on switching sections of a course after it begins? Your advice is appreciated.
Thank you.

They may have cancelled the section that you originally signed up for, and just merged you into another one. A lot of universities will cancel or combine classes if they don't get enough people enrolled in a particular offering. Most classes have a minimum enrollment threshold at most schools - that way they make at least enough money off a class to cover the costs of the instructor, etc.

That happened to my high school Junior this weekend as well, at another college. He is enrolled in an online Dual Credit SOC 100 class at WKU and when we checked his status this weekend, the section number of his course had changed. I wasn't really concerned because it is the same course and still online.
