I didn't notice this about Excelsior's new tuition and fees.

If you complete 12 credits in residence under the Excelsior Course Option, you will not have to pay the enrollment fee or annual student services fee.

Yes, I noticed that, too. I think it is the equivalent of giving everybody the "partnership discount". It is an interesting development for students who need credits through courses, including the capstone. I hadn't noticed the SSAF can be eliminated, too.

In light of TESC's recent change, I've asked EC about including UExcel exams in the credits needed for this new enrollment option. If other students ask too, maybe they'll consider it.

That would be cool if they included Uexcels like TESC includes TECEPs.

Excelsior's fee is 495/credit. It seems it would be way more expensive to enroll in the Excelsior Course Option than it would be for the multi-source option. If I understand it correctly, the multi-source option is just the $1065 per year and allows you to clep or dsst yourself to your hearts content. The ECO option works out to be about $1500/class. Thoughts? I'm just 16 credits away from an AS or AA degree.

Excelsior has been raising prices at a breathtaking rate. I would stick with COSC or TESC.
TESC 2015 - BSBA, Computer Information Systems

TESC 2019 - 21 Post-bachelor accounting credits

It is less expensive to pick the Multi-Source Option. Excelsior needs to do something else to make the Excelsior Course Option more appealing.
