Principles of Supervision observations
#1
Well, I passed Principles of Supervision today with a 435 (400 needed to pass). This exam proved to be much more challenging than I had expected. I found that the IC material didn’t cover many of the questions on the exam, probably due mostly to the exam having been "refreshed" recently. By the time I was wrapping this one up I hadn’t a clue if I was even remotely close to passing, which was disconcerting to say the least. At the end of the day, I pulled yet another one out using IC only, and a disciplined "analyze & eliminate" methodology in the exam room (coupled with a little dumb luck too). Okay, onto Organizational Behavior and Human Resources...

Congratulations on another pass! Your next two will overlap a bunch with Supervision and other such tests, and they were actually my favorites to study. Big Grin Have fun!

Thanks... I'm wondering how similar (or not) the DSST and ECE exams are for Organizational Behavior and Human Resources. Might be worth springing for the extra $ and go for the ECE exams to get a couple of upper level courses under my belt. Anybody have any sage advice or insight to share in this regard?

If you need the upper level credit, I wouldn't hesitate. I think the DSST versions are supposed to be easier, but I wouldn't know firsthand. See my sig; I had no trouble with the ECE versions and all I used were the companion websites for the textbooks and google.

I used just the IC cards for the ECE exam but it was no walk in the park. I squeezed out a pass with a C...my lowest grade for my bachelors. There IS a difference between upper and lower level knowledge requirements and it was quite evident on ECE Org & HRM tests.

No the IC study guides are for lower level credit. I just used them thinking "How much different can the ECE upper level tests be?" Very different, but as I said befoore I squeeked by. The ECE tests require a much more indepth knowledge level.
