Hey Y'all!
I am studying for this Dsst and was wondering if any of you could give me some feedback on the new version of this test. I was reading in the Specific Exam feedback and was disappointed to see that a lot of the questions were new material and Instantcert wasn't very helpful. Should I forget Instantcert completely for this test?? What about the Peterson's free tests?? Should I study basically on what's on the DSST study guide and use Wiki and things like that? Thanks for all the help

My opinion will probably be different than most, but I think you would be fine if you use the fact sheet and google/wikipedia. I got by on common sense alone for this one, though not by too much. The first thing I would do is take a practice test and see how you do. Definitely don't go into the real thing without taking the free practice.

I'm in the exact same boat as you are, Kelsey. I emailed the IC webmaster Steve Gloer a few days ago and asked him if the IC Supervision cards have been updated recently to better prepare for the refreshed version. He said the cards were updated in December 2009, so they should be more helpful than the older IC cards were.
I would also second what Janus said....take the official DSST practice exam from their website. That should be extremely helpful. I just took CLEP Management in December so I'm hoping that Supervision will have a lot of overlap with Management.

Thank you both! I'm glad to know that common sense can help you pass this test, because I definitely have more of that than smarts! lol
Levi, I feel much better about studying the Instantcert cards now! I'm so glad you checked on that. I will let you know how the test goes. I plan to take it sometime next week if I feel prepared!
