Both are 100-level courses so I am not certain what you mean by "upper level degree". If you do not know for certain where you will utilize the courses, and your choice is between SL & CLEP, the CLEP is more likely to be accepted since most schools have set policies for CLEP. ACE evaluated courses, on the other hand, are often up to the discretion, and I suspect mood, of a few individuals.
