Straighterline General Chemistry
#1
Just wanted to post this if anyone is considering General Chemistry with Straighterline...........a BOOK IS VERY VERY Important!!!!! The modules maybe cover 1 -2 questions on the exams, even the first 2 tests are monsters and they suppose to be basic concepts. Starting to feel like this was a mistake to go this route. Glad I rented a book though.

Thanks for the info - please keep us posted as you progress. DS was considering this class. He likes SL so far (doing non-credit English currently), but anyone who's done SL knows it's not easy!

I'm currently taking SL's biology course (without the lab), as well as three of their other courses. I agree that you need the book in order to complete their courses successfully, since the test questions mostly come from the chapters and glossaries. The exams might be unproctored and open-book, but they still are not easy. I purchase my textbooks used from Ebay for about $20 each since I like to highlight them, write on them, and use them as I please.
