Pricing out my degree plan....Questions about ECE
#1
When I see posts that list ECE credit. Do they mean Excelsior? And if so I just checked their website would it be true I Would have to pay an applic fee of 80, enrollment of 395 and 425 per credit hour? Or am I missing something? I'm trying to decide to ECE these or choose other options? Where I'm located CLeps are 185.00 and DSST's are 80.00.

The Classes I could possible ECE are:

Principles of Finance ( ECE or Penn Foster or DSST)
Principles of Management (Clep or ECE)
Intro to Marketing (Clep, ECE)
Business in Society , Intl management ( DSST, ECE)
HR Management ( ECE or DSST)
Labor Relations ( ECE)

Thanks for any feedback!

ECE means Excelsior College Exam. The name is changing to Uexcel ECEP. You don't have to enroll or apply to the college to take them. Most of them are $95, but some are a few hundred dollars. You have to take these at Pearson testing centers. ECEs are considered harder than CLEPs and DSSTs.

Do you just take the final at the Pearson Center? Are there quizzes as you go? I will be back in the states Aug/Sept and could make this happen. Are there additional fees for the Pearson Center part?

These are credit by exam. You study on your own time just like you would for a CLEP or DSST. There are recommended study materials, and you can purchase practice tests, but they aren't required. There might be a Pearson testing center where you're at. You'd just have to check Pearson's website. I've never signed up for an ECE or Uexcel, but I don't think there are any additional fees.

What would you recommend studying and focusing on for the US Hist I test? Looking to CLEP out of that and Physical Science if possible.

Thanks any suggestions are helpful.

Don't forget about Penn Foster, which might be a good option for you depending upon what school you are finishing your degree at (double-check with that school before enrolling in any PF courses):

These videos HippoCampus - Homework and Study Help - Free help with your algebra, biology, environmental science, American government, US history, physics and religion homework were extremely helpful for US History I. I also looked through my old high school textbook. You'll want to know events, names, and the timeline the events occurred in - the big picture with details.
Look through the Specific Feedback section too.
