I have been prepping for the A&I clep. I took the official clep practice test late last night and got 58%. I took it again this afternoon, and scored about 85%. I took Peterson's first practice test and got a 67%. The second one I got a 54%.
I feel like I'm getting worse instead of better. I'm almost afraid to take the 3rd Peterson test, let alone the clep test. The test is scheduled for a week from Thursday, but I had considered moving it up to this Thursday. Now I'm not sure I should even be taking this test. RRRR.
Advice? Thoughts? Should I take the test? If so would you do it Thursday and get it over with or wait until next week and hope to suddenly get smarter by then?

Peterson's are tougher. You are ready and will pass this one. Time was a bit of a factor for me so I skipped the questions that contained very long passages or old English and went back to them at the end.
You can do it!

The most important factor in taking this exam is to maintain a fairly rapid pace. You will use every minute allowed. If you have a general sense of how the exam is worded (which you do) and you are competent (which you are), then taking twenty more prep tests isn't going to make a difference. At this point it will be about moving quickly through the material and trusting your instincts. Take a deep breath, relax, and go for it. I bet you score over 60.

Oh, definitely take the exam. You'll be okay. Don't stress too much.
What I would do is really hone up on the jargon--you know, iambic pentameter, similies, all that stuff. If you know those really well that will score you some easy points on a few questions and that might be enough to make a key difference.
