Posts Keep Getting Deleted-Not Going Through?
#11
I ended up passing with a 54. Way too close for comfort. I didn't really review much over the past few weeks, so my skill likely went down some. Still, a little too close for a great deal of comfort.

Overall, the test was much more broad than instant-cert. I had to use logical guessing often, which I don't like to do as frequently as I did, during this test.

I hope history II will be easier?

Well, congrats on passing anyway. Was this American History I?

No Sociology. They had a lot of topics, where I expected 1 or 2 questions, but instead got 5-10 questions. Logically, I didn't devote much time to these topics and instant-cert didn't cover them (can't blame them for that though); how can you predict getting a ton of oddball questions. I think i guessed on close to 60% of the questions. I could usually widdle the choices down a bit, which helped me pass.

I'm hoping history will be more straight memorization than this "this situation entails which of these ambiguously related concepts."

Sad I am planning to take that exam.

History had better be Smile Good luck. I am also planning on History II, but not for a month or so.

Sociology is such a broad subject (7 billion + people and how they relate!) that the test bank must be huge. Both my sister and I struggled with learning pertinent info and guesswork on the actual test. Congrats on the pass!

US History II unfortunately does deal a lot more with relationships instead of just straight facts (I would prefer it the other way around too) but if you pay attention to cause & effect, timelines, and how everything relates, you'll be good.
