If I ask them what something transfers as, and they reply in writing, is that enough? Or is it possible I complete the exam/class find out that rep was wrong? I can't afford the money or time to be wasted.
Am I supposed to somehow get the course/exam officially entered and locked in? I tried using wording like "I am going to complete this, please place this into my degree plan" and they seemed to ignore that part. What works best?

Yes, they should be putting it into your plan. That's what they've done with me each time I've asked, so I'm not sure why they're not doing that with you. Have you called and spoken with someone directly? When I have, they've done it right while they were on the phone with me.

In my experience it was nearly impossible to get them to answer questions about transfer without them planning the courses in.

Can you guys explain just a little bit more about how this works? I just applied to TESU & they're still working on my evaluation. If I plan to take a course at a community college, for instance, to fulfill a required course in my degree plan, how do I go about getting "pre-approval?" So far, I've simply emailed the help desk & asked how certain classes would transfer in. They're usually pretty good with getting back to me, but I'm not so sure those emails are "official." What if I take a course & someone else decides that course didn't fit the bill?
Thanks for the help, guys!

I can't speak for CC credits, but for my SL/SC classes, I emailed them with the list of classes and their TESU equiv. and asked them to plan it into my eval. They added them to my Academic Evaluation as planned/in progress, so I could see that they were all approved and where they would go in my eval.

They get "planned" into your eval with the equivalency shown. Generally, just asking about an equivalency is enough to cause them to plan it in, but if they didn't, just ask them to.
