Polymorphism
#1
Question
I'm studying for my natural sciences exam and using some of the Bio questions. It keeps talking about polymorphism in the Principles of Evolution flashcards. I've tried to figure out what polymorphism is, but whenever I think I've got it figure out, another flashcard pops up that makes no sense based on my current understanding. Is there some easy-to-understand video or explanation that I'm missing? Does anyone have a solid understanding of it that can help me?

What is an example of polymorphism in humans?
Examples include pheasants, humans, and deer. Allelic polymorphism occurs when there are multiple alleles expressed within the population. Alleles are different versions of a trait or physical characteristic. Examples include peppered moths, human blood groups, and two-spotted ladybugs.
