Hi Everyone,
I have been reading like crazy and have mapped out a start of a plan and I was hoping for some guidance.
I am looking at TESU because I live in NJ and the NJ CPA board accepts TESU as an accredited school. I didn't see any other options for NJ.
Could you guys take a look and let me know what you think?
The ones that I left blank I was not sure what to put in.
I am planning on doing the 16 credit semester so I know I will have residency that way.
What am I missing, what can I do differently? What would you recommend I change?
I need more RA credits right?
Any and all suggestions are welcome and I would like to do this as frugally as possible.
THANK YOU so much for your time and this forum I have learned so much.

Are the courses that they list under C. Knowledge of Human Cultures (15 Credits)

No, the ones listed under Knowledge of Human Cultures and Scientific Knowledge are not required. Those simply happen to be the courses that TESU themselves have and that fulfill that requirement. I'm not pursuing that specific degree myself, but perhaps the evaluation I've attached will help make more sense out of what TESU actually expects.
There is some leeway for the business courses, too, with LL options being allowed at least for the Business Core, though not necessarily for the AOS.
In progress: TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed: Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210
Just an FYI @OP, your current plan has the 16 credits for the residency waiver, but you're still missing credits to meet the RA requirement, TESU followed COSC's footsteps in requiring the 30 RA credits. You'll have 6 from the cornerstone/capstone, and the other credits for residency, you need to get at least 15 more credits. My suggestion is either through TECEPS or UEXCELS if you're into exams, or ONU/TEL if you're into classes.

Graduate Certificate: ASU Global Management & Entrepreneurship
@rachel83az - I know that there is one TESU degree specifically called CPA track. But I think (and hope) the non-CPA accounting degree can also be used to meet the NJ CPA board requirements. The way I was planning to do it was to get the 24 credits this way (which is what I think OP is trying something similar).
The one benefit of avoiding the CPA-track degree means I get to drop 1 UL harder accounting class. That is the theory anyway!
There's plenty of easy business courses so that part of the requirement is less of an issue.

Analyzing & Int Lit CLEP is 6 credits @ TESU. I found it to be a tough exam.
English Comp CLEP is 6 credtits @ TESU and real easy, just try it u might pass quick.
Federal Income Tax can be an RA thru a TECEP. Lots of flash-card decks out there for this.
CSM Learn actually maps to BUS-210Quantitative Skills for Business
You can do Sophia for STA-201Principles of Statistics
Scientific knowledge: do Physics 1 (CLEP) and Astronomy (Sophia)
Any gaps where you need RA there are 3 really good sources:
UExcel
TEL Learning
Outlier
University of North Alabama Accounting ($500/3 credit course)
This will require me needing 2 terms at TESU complete the 21 credits.
Could you tell me more about UMPI? What do you mean greater than 20? Is that in age? I am 19.

Yes I have a number of classes blank hoping to fill those with RA credits as needed to meet the requirement.

Yes I saw that the only benefit of using the degree plan that I used was not having to take Cost Account. I am ok either way with either plan because I dont mind taking one or two additional classes. I didn't see any other differences. Did I miss anything?

I made a plan for it, but I’m only 18. They don’t want u unless u turn 20.
At 19 TESU is only option for u.
Not too big deal though, in NJ TESU is very well known respected. You meet lots of people with TESU degree etc.
Does the CPA board accept UMPI degree? I dont mind waiting to enroll till I am 20. Does it work the same as TESU? How much lower cost does it end up being?
