Hi there! I am working towards a BA in liberal studies at TESU. Here is a list of courses I have either completed for the remainder of credits I needed, or I will be getting started on soon
I would appreciate any feedback on how it all looks. Thank you!!
And yes, I am trying to do most of it through SL since I am on the move a lot and it seems to work the best for me.
GENERAL ED: (Completed all these)
Oral Communication: SL COM 108
Quantitative Literacy: ALEKS College Algebra
Information Literacy: SL World Religion
Ethics: SL Business Ethics
Civic Engagement: SL American Government
Social Sciences/Humanities (need 3 credits): SL US History 1
Natural World (need 4 credits): SL Bio with lab
LIBERAL ARTS REQUIREMENTS:
UL (need 6.33 credits):
SL Organizational Behavior
SL Microbiology with lab
LL (200 level need 6.33 credits):
SL Environmental Science
SL Science of Nutrition
SL Medical Terminology
QUESTIONING IF NUTRITION AND MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY WILL BE OKAY?? TESU used a class I took at community college that transfers as HEA-101 to my elective credits for liberal arts, so thats why I am looking at medical terminology.
ELECTIVES:
Need 20 GEs
Need 24 Electives in liberal studies
So, for electives I have recently taken:
TEEX cybersecurity courses (6 credits)
Kaplan PLA (3 credits)
ALEKS Trigonometry (3 credits)
SL Accounting 1 and 2 (6 credits)
SL CPR (2 credits)
--Will all of these count towards GE or will any work for liberal study electives? Trig?
I am also looking at taking:
SL Personal Fitness/Wellness - transfers to Personal Fitness - PYT-161
SL Western Civ 1 & 2
SL Microeconomics and SL macroeconomics
SL Student Success - transfers to Special Studies in Selected Topics - FEL-199
SL Personal Finance - transfers to Personal Finance for 2000 and Beyond - BUE-101
SL Business Law - transfers to Business Law - LAW-201
SL US History 2
I have taken the accounting courses and was looking at the finance and business law courses for other random reasons that have recently come up in my lifeâ¦but I am assuming none of those would fulfill liberal arts electives? Do the others I have listed? Sorry, I know I have another recent post where I am also asking about what qualifies as liberal studies and I just want to check in on all of this...
Oh and I have already taken SL psychology, sociology, philosophy, and criminal justice. I will be just under the 90 credit max for SL
THANK YOU!!
