Currently in progress Spanish I and Spanish II when finished add 6 for a total of 37 Sophia Credits

Any certifications or military experience?

Paramedic Civilian (as shown above, 20 years on the job).  No military

My plan is to finish the two Spanish' classes with Sophia, and power thorough UMPI residency requirement of 30 hours.   They have not currently given me a definitive answer on rather my EMT and Paramedic classes will transfer in as electives or not, they are evaluating the course syllabus form those classes/years.
That being said I am one of those hope for the best plan for the worst people and would like to have a backup plan as far as the electives from Sophia that I am able to power through quickly (Difficulty doesn't matter however the less touchstones the better and math is not my strong suite. I can do math, I am really bad at test taking math)

As far as the 30 at UMPI here is what Im thinking/considering.

  1. Films of the Cold War
  2. Arab Israelis Conflict
  3. The Vietnam Wars
  4. Slavery in the US
  5. Native American History
  6. International Relations and modern conflicts
  7. History of Infectious Disease
  8. World Civ I
  9. World Civ II
  10. Greece, Rome, and the Early Church
Once this is finished I have plotted out 2 options that I am considering, first preferable and second as a backup.
  • Take LSAT
  • If Pass-
  • Peruse a J.D. with either St. Mary's Law (First ABA accredited fully online JD), or Syracuse University
  • Practice Criminal Law
If LSAT is fail (3rd attempt) OR not accepted in a Online/Hybrid or a Traditional Law School
  • SNHU Masters of Arts History with Concentration of Military History
  • Proceed to look for and obtain a PhD in history or EdD
  • Shoot for Tenure at a university
Also Unrelated yet related question, with these goals in mind, What should I set up as my signature?

Addendum-
Budget, Will be using Fin Aid / Loans
Commitment - I am 99.99% committed and can devote 30 weekly hours at least to study/classwork
Timeline- I would like to get all of this done as fast as possible, but With everything stated, I am in for it for the long haul, and while I think it can all be done in 6 years, I'm willing/able to push to 10
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: I Wish. None.

I don't think the Anatomy and Physiology is going to cover the need for Biology - I do know that the Sophia HUMAN Biology (and the HUMAN Biology Lab) do - https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quivalents
Amberton - MSHRB
TESU - ASNSM/BSBA

According to UMPI's transfer database, Anatomy and Physiology with the lab will cover 2 areas of the GEC. Microbiology is the one that doesn't work for the GEC. I looked this morning because I was wondering which biology course didn't fulfill the GEC and couldn't remember which one it was.

If you are serious about attending law school, you should consider doing 60 graded credits at UMPI. A double-major in something such as business should do it.

Also, you should do more than just pass the LSAT. You need a high score to get scholarships and to make sure you get into the school you want.

I can't see where you covered 5A: DIverse World Views, so I would take Intro to Sociology.

I also see that you have more than 30cr to complete - there are 48cr in the major, and you only have 9cr (Spanish I & II and Government). Where are you taking the 9cr additional?
TESU BSBA/HR 2018 - WVNCC BOG AAS 2017 - GGU Cert in Mgmt 2000

Thank you for your reply, I have reviewed the link that you have provided and will consider a secondary B.A..

This is why I posted because I knew there was something I was overlooking, thank you for bringing this to my attention. Let me do some research and figure this out.   I have added the Sociology to my list of to do. I will research this and will report back. Thank you again for bringing this to my attention.

Greece and Rome aren't offered on your pace, just an FYI (I have confirmed this with UMPI, no idea why it's still on there). I'd do World Civ 1/2 on Straighterline. Much easier/shorter than UMPI.

I do NOT recommend a PhD in History. Academia (tenured especially) positions are VERY rare. I have friends who went to T20 programs and can't get a job. DO some research on Reddit. All of the PhDs there will guide and caution you. I am not sure what sort of program you are looking for but a FT program is going to take you 5-7 years. A master's from SNHU is going to do you no favors in getting into a ranked PhD program. Still a lot of snobbery in these realms of academia.

If you are looking for a master's in history, take a look at the UK. They have really niche grad history programs from highly ranked schools and are more interesting than the US offerings for history.

Duneranger is right, the history job market is brutal even for applicants with the strongest traditional CVs. You might think about and look into disciplines where the academic job market is less impossible and/or where non-academic trajectories are close by where you could pursue historical questions in your research. e.g., business history via a business PhD, or political science or public administration.

Here's the link for UMPI and the degree plans, you should plan up to 90 credits to max the transfer credits and also to complete classes that can be transferred in using alternative credit. You should try to do the 10 required classes at UMPI for 30 credit residency. Link: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI
