Per credit tuition plan at TESC
#1
I am trying to get my head around the per credit tuition plan from TESC.

I only have the few credits in my sig at the moment, but am I right that if I enroll at TESC now, under the per credit tuition plan, I will stay enrolled indefinitely as long as I complete a tecep each year? so I can enroll for $75 and stay enrolled with $100 Tecep each year? once enrolled can I add the straighterline courses, or Saylor courses as I complete them?

I am planning on using Saylor, Teceps and straighterline (and maybe Penn Foster) for the bulk of the degree. I am in no rush to complete, I am doing my degree as time and finances allow.

Do you think it's wise to take up this option now in case anything changes next year at TESC? or be patient and keep working on Saylor and Straighterline to collect credits?
Aleks: Beginning, Intermediate, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Intro to Statistics
Straighterline: Cultural Anthropology, Religion, Biology, Environmental Science, Philosophy, Eng Comp I, C++.

Sophia Intro to Psych
TEEX: CYB101, CYB201, CYB301

Kaplan: Documenting Experiences

Goal: Complete Gen Ed. requirements.

Since you won't have to worry about an enrollment fee, you could just enroll now. You won't be enrolled after applying. You'll be enrolled after signing up for your first course or TECEP.

Not wishing to hyjack this thread, but I have a related question - Im new here and currently waiting on TESC to accept me. I've been working on Saylor CS101 and intend to transfer that credit over when I pass the exam. Based on you answer above, is it my understanding I will have to take some course at TESC before I can transfer any other credits.

TESC will give you up to two evaluations before you enroll. If you do not enroll in 6 months, you will have to apply and send your transcripts again.

Don't you have a residency requirement with that tuition plan? Don't you have to do 24 credits through TESC for a BS and 12 credits for an AS?

Per Credit Tuition Plan

Yes. The residency requirement can be fulfilled with online/guided study courses, TECEPs, ePacks, and PLAs. TECEPs are only $34 or $36 per credit hour depending on residency status.
