Penn Foster courses for CJ degree through TESC

Please tell me why you would or would not use Penn Foster courses as part of your Criminal Justice degree through TESC. What are the advantages or disadvantages?

Advantages
Cheap
Self-paced
Almost all of the CJ courses are ACE-approved
Most Penn Foster courses are easy

Disadvantages
Penn Foster will be listed on your transcript
If you apply to grad school, you will have to send a Penn Foster transcript
Ace approval is iffy. Penn Foster often either stops paying for ACE evaluation for a course or the course fails to be approved. ACE has changed the approval status of several courses a few times over the past few months. It's hard to tell if they're currently approved or not. TESC will not accept nationally-accredited courses if they aren't ACE-approved.
Penn Foster's customer service representatives are clueless about ACE-approval and ordering courses a la carte. You'd probably be best served by Workforce Development.

I took 2 courses from Penn Foster (Business Strategic Management and English composition) . Penn foster is cheap and you can complete the courses very quickly. I learned so much from the courses I took at Penn foster.

After I completed the course at Penn foster, I signed online to Ace (American Council on Education)website( you can google it) and you will add the course you took at Penn foster. They will contact Penn foster and once penn foster approve the course, Ace will email you to inform you and then you can log in to ace website to order your transcript and they send it to Tesc electronic ( if you choose that option ). The whole process is so easy and I really liked and learned a lot for each course I took at penn foster.
