Hey everybody,
Just wanted to give a nice shout-out to the folks at Penn Foster. I just (ok finally!) finished the Bus and Tech Writing class which I am planning to use to meet the Managerial Communication requirement at TESC for their BSBA program.
Everyone at PF was great to work with and all of my written assignments were graded really quickly. All in all it was an easy course - just required a little writing - that's all. No proctored exam or anything.
I even had to request an extension to finish the course (I know, I know don't give me that look, Marshall!) and they were wonderful about it and very accommodating.
Now I just have to get the credits transferred over so I can use them. I might wait a bit because I am considering another course at PF since this was such a positive experience.
Have a great day all and keep a good thought for me on Friday morning. I am taking Money and Banking at 10am and am TERRIFIED. :eek: Really, completely, and utterly terrified.

I'm stumped. After reading your post, I called Penn Foster to enroll in this course. They told me it was proctored. So, I questioned that part, Marianne checked into it, told me she wasn't sure, then enrolled me without the proctor fee. If it is proctored, I can pay the fee later.
I don't mind taking a proctored test, I just want to know if that's part of the course.

I just finished this course (got my final grade this morning) and there were no proctored tests at all. There were 6 graded units - 2 were open book tests (of about 25 questions) and the other 4 were written assignments.
I didn't have to have anything proctored. I just wrote my assignments and emailed them to the professor to be graded. Please let me know if I can help you out with alleviating any of the confusion about this. I'd be happy to do anything I can to help.

What was the verdict? Did your course have a proctored final?

I orderd Bus and Tech Writing on 6-1-09. Talked with Tom Hunt and he checked for me and said it does not have a proctor fee. It was 270.00 for the course.
How does EC crdeit this course?

I just finished this course and submitted my final paper yesterday, and am awaiting my grade.
Once I receive my final grade, how do I get the credit transferred to TESC?
