My son is still working on his classes for graduation and I was wondering if any member has taken the Penn Foster Art Appreciation class and could tell me if he can complete it online or would he need to also proctor his test. Not really problem to proctor the test, but would be nice if he could complete the course fast with everything on line, including his exams. Any knowledgeable responses would be much appreciated.

Interesting. I took it in 2009 and it was proctored then. I thought I had read somewhere that they had changed it.

Call them for the latest information. Some of the info that I've read on this forum is no longer relevant for a course. Either whether a proctor was necessary, or the nature of the final had changed between when the poster and I took the course. While this forum is a good starting place, if it matters to you, call. Better yet, see if you can e-mail so you have it in writing. You want to contact the education division, not customer service.

Just for particular courses from what I remember. I also took a literature course that was proctored as well.

I took it last year it was proctored. But than again, maybe it was proctored because I was in the Criminal Justice A.A degree program, not just taking it as a individual course.
