Math as elective credits?
#11
dfrecore Wrote:And if you go to this page, math courses are NOT listed as fulfilling that requirement: Thomas Edison State University | General Education - 2016 or After

Sometimes, I really think TESU doesn't have their act together!! It can be frustrating...

Keep in mind that page is only a listing of TESU courses/exams that fit those categories. TESU accepts alternate CLEP/DSST/etc exams and courses to fit all subject areas. The main reason I attached a link to the CLEP page.

For the record, TESU has always been this way on its web published materials. They don't necessarily double up (duplicate) the information on a web page which is why the catalog, and the now defunct degree planning handbook, were always so important to research.

Again, especially with the recent changes, I would advise all students to work with Advising to plan as many exams/courses into your academic evaluation plan as possible. Keep in mind a few forum members mentioned they will no longer pre plan certain credit (ie Penn Foster).

And none of their math courses (they have 15 of them) are listed under the section.

Yes, I know and addressed it in my second paragraph. As I said prior, it's not uncommon.

I was complaining about TESU more than anything else. I wish they could be more clear on their website.
