I wondered if anyone knew about any other venues that are like ALEKS and Straighterline, that may have upper level computer science or arts & science type of courses?

Bumping this thread. I am also looking for the same. Or maybe low cost colleges offering distance upper level courses for out-of-state students. Thanks.

I'm sure there out there--low cost UL credits-but you have to have a lot of time to research online and write follow-up emails then make calls. I researched and followed links for Ace and other options that held promise the problem is it takes forever do do the legwork. Then you have to get approval from your college. Wish there was a central clearinghouse with all the UL cheap credits and exams.
Thanks for the reply. I was hoping someone in this forum has found a source of non-test upper level credits. Anyone else?

This is my first post but I have read many threads within the past week. I wanted to share an affordable place to take classes.
Clovis Community College Your College Search Solution: Clovis Community College, Clovis, New Mexico "Clovis Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (North Central Association of Colleges and Schools), 30 North La Salle Street, Suite 2400; Chicago, IL 60602-2504, Tel. 312.263.0456 and has been approved by the State Board of Education as an authorized State of New Mexico Area-Vocational School". They offered 6 hours for $213 for the spring semester (out of state, in state is cheaper of course) I suspect that they always have the same promotion going on. Hope that someone finds this useful.... -Kim

It has already been mentioned that it can be time consuming to track down some of the ACE-approved courses, although there are some very interesting things on there! If anyone is interested in doing that, here's the link to where you can search for all ACE-approved courses and exams:
