Online Java/JSP training courses by a best-selling author!
I just thought I'd share this in case anyone's interested in it and also because I could get a referral bonus if someone's in a generous mood. (You'd have to PM me your email.)
You can get 9 credits for $750 if you take all the proctored exams at the same time. Here's the PONSI listing: JavaOnline.org: College Credit Recommendations: National CCRS
I think it's really cool that this man was able to start his own credit-bearing course. I wish we had more people doing this.

This looks like a good option for the Excelsior folks. Not sure how well the credits will travel to other colleges, especially ones not in NY.

Has anyone taken any of these JAVA classes and gotten credit at TESC? I mean for $280 to get Java and Advanced Java sounds cheap. There is a proctored final to get college credit. I'm wondering is TESC would take them in lieu of C++ and Data Structures?
The National College Credit Recommendation Service lists TESC
Thomas Edison State College: College and University Profiles: National CCRS
This link says they have special arrangement with Excelsior to have transcribed from there??

NCCRS is on page 201 of the TESC catalog right under ACE Credit so it looks like they take NCCRS courses for credit.
I need to email them and see if I can take Java instead of C++ and Advanced Java instead of Data Structures.

I would be very interested to know if they allow you to substitute. My gut says "no" but I guess there's always that one person who bugs the dean with a compelling argument...
