Hi,
I am looking into enrolling in an online MBA program and found Patten University to be the most price competitive as it is $299 per month and owned by UniversityNOW which owns New Charter University. Is there any other online program that is price competitive?

You would be far better off looking into a regionally accredited program. There are some who defend national accreditation, but my credits from a nationally accredited college aren't worth the crappy paper they are printed on. I am not sure about MBA, but there is a very affordable MLA program at WNMU.

Normally I'd agree completely with you on this, but while an NA degree itself may not be wise one might be able to transfer some credits to an RA school. It's been awhile so I could be mistaken but I think AMU/APU and WGU take a limited number of NA credits in transfer. Something to consider especially if u can figure out how to save some money.

Spend the few extra bucks and just do this at WGU. $3250 per 6 months, go as fast as you can go, regionally accredited.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Wait, what am I missing? Isn't Patten University regionally accredited?

If so this is a potentially great find!

It looks like the price is a flat rate of $1316 per term (16 weeks) including textbooks.
Also: "Online courses will be in self-paced format, and there will be no limit to the number of courses that a student may complete in a given term."

Apparently, the WASC put Patten's accreditation on probation in 2010. (They are accredited but on probation.) The WASC approved the transfer of ownership in 2012 and was set to review their status in June 2013. It will be interesting to see what they rule.

I don't think WGU accepts any transfer credits for its MBA programs. I could be wrong though.

Looks like you're right about that, but it includes all graduate degrees:
WGU does not accept transfer credit at the graduate (master’s) level. (Transcripts are still required for proof of completion of a bachelor’s degree.) Transferring Credit
Still good at the bachelor level at least.
YOu can do this at AMU/APU though:
