Thanks for your suggestions. I'm looking for programs from brick and mortar universities that will give me a real degree that won't say the degree was earned online.
The American Public University System (APUS) or its branch the American Military University (AMU) is an online degree program, but I believe they are worth their salt. The course material for the major was rigorous and the Professors were some of the best educated (I had some PhDs from Ivy League schools). Further, I attended a couple of B&M during my degree-seeking years, and I felt AMU's courses were much harder. Online learning is not necessarily easy. Unless you are going for an Executive level position (which you might be), I don't see why it would not be accepted by your managers/leadership. Now in my profession, the degrees that seem to make a difference and open doors are such as Georgetown University, Duke, Notre Dame, Standford, Princeton, Harvard, etc. Schools like UVA are accepted, but amongst the professional environment I work in I didn't see much difference in a school like UVA being more accepted and/or respected compared to another RA online college/university (like AMU).
Maybe the difference is the way these schools above are referenced by their name - insinuating online... I can understand that perspective.
