Oldest College Credit Date

Who has the oldest college credit for use in transferring?

My oldest is from summer of 1983. 1 Credit Basic Programming.  I went to the local state college for this , the summer before I started high school.

For the course, it was auditorium-style  - the professor showed flowcharts of Basic programming on an overhead projector, we would then go schedule time in the computer room on DEC video terminals.

That's quite difficult to beat.
My oldest is 1998 philosophical anthropology. 4cr. Classic learning in an auditorium. Used typical and classical board and chalk. Lots of notes.

Definitely not the oldest, but I have to send a transcript from a college I attended in 1992 to anywhere I apply. Unfortunately, both classes on the transcript are Fs, because I was more interested in partying than attending class.

My oldest classes are from 1993. Most traditional schools won't accept them because of their age. I ran into that so many times. It was so annoying.

I have classes from 1988. No problems ever getting them transferred to other schools (recently did it to 2 schools). Have never had a school say they were too old.

My mom went back to school after 30 years, had zero problems getting her 30yo credits accepted either.

Well mine was from 1988 and while trying to access it, I called the university and spoke to someone to get help creating and online account. He told me I would already have a student account…. ‘ unless I went to school before the internet was invented.’ Yup, that’s me. Before the internet!

I don't have an online account for my 1988 school either - and can't get one; they also don't have my transcripts available to send electronically, they can only send it via snail mail because it's so old. LOL

I planned my entire destination wedding via telephone and MAILING PICTURES back and forth with the wedding planner. Yep, pre-email.  I mean, email was around by then (1998/1999), but you couldn't send pics easily (no inexpensive way to scan them into your computer, and emails couldn't send large files like that).
