I always try not to engage my fellow degreeforum.net members in divisive political arguments. I choose other, less hallowed grounds for that.
This site means too much to me personally and the people here to do.

Well said and a wise move.
There will always be people where we go that have different political views. Political debates can burn bridges and that's not a great idea here (not saying folks can't, just may not be the best move). Politics, as important as it is, doesn't even have eternal value. Now a thread on Theology or the like would be one interesting thread.

I couldn't disagree more Ryoder. These are the issues that matter in life. Choosing the leader of your nation is an important responsibility, one that requires debate. That's not to say aggressive angry arguing (ooh, accidental alliteration), but fair, open-minded thinking. It encourages critical thinking and moves the human race forward. Debate is not meant to burn bridges, it's meant to cultivate a spirit of intellectual thinking.
This could be one of the most important decisions in America's history. The two parties have never been so fundamentally different in their values. I believe the democrats are right, but that's not to say I'm open to hearing the ideas of others. If anyone would like to debate with me, I'd love to, we'll keep it civil.

I agree with you in theory but in practice it always turns ugly. There is another forum for that. Please continue the debate and normally I would join in with you but on this forum I choose to stay above the fray. Just this one forum

No Theology is a much more contentious issue.....Now talking about one of my heroes Tesla is terrific, since I am currently working on creating an ectromagnetic generator.

However, the matter is one with eternal consequences. BTW, that must be one amazing project (building an electromagnetic generator)!!
