OT thankful for book sales!
#1
Off topic, but hopefully no one is too terribly bored with my book updates :o
Everyone likes to share what they're thankful for each November, so I'll share what really makes my heart swell.

This summer, I had a REAL company decide to start carrying my book (technically they are still the only real company carrying my book hilarious) but it is physically *on the shelves* at Rainbow Resources. I remember posting when it happened, because Rainbow is "the" resource book IMO for homeschoolers! So, they bought 10 copies this past June, and I was very excited and thought that was the end of it. Well, they told me today that they are almost sold out and will place another order for another 10 copies the first of the year!

Now, since I don't sell my book direct, whenever someone asks me about it, I usually direct them to a retailer. There are a few big ones like Amazon, BAM, and Barnes and Noble, but as a homeschooler, I *really* like to direct people to Rainbow just because they are one of the few who still publish an actual PAPER catalog, and they are family run. Plus, they've been around since BEFORE I started homeschooling in 1994, so that's a long time! You have to know, that I'm being totally transparent, and in the best case scenario, I can make up to $3 for a sale, but generally it's about half that. So, you have to be a little nerdy to get so flippin excited about earning $25 (and there are probably MUCH easier ways! LOL) but I'm just thrilled that people are reading it! For me, I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the thrill of hearing people get excited about all the ways that college can become a reality. I owe all of that to this board, and I am THANKFUL that I get to pay it forward.

That is great! My dad has also written a book about homeschooling that is carried by Rainbow Resource. It IS something to be thankful for.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.
