I just received my final grade on the main research paper that is due on at the end of the class.....HOLY CRAP! I got a perfect 21!!!!!! How - ????? I'm so freaking happy - I only wish the class was a grade.....that puts me at 90%. Oh, I cranked out the research paper in less than an hour yesterday and it was on a medical condition. Here is the comments I got -
Positive
This is a text book model of an essay that teaches the readers. It is skillfully constructed, well organized and informative. The intro gives the readers all the context we need to understand what we are about to learn and the conclusion gives us a memorable summary of the work.
Improvement
The only thing in this paper that I could find to complain about was the style of the in-text citations. Even these could be right, but they are not a style with which I am familiar.
I can hardly believe this considering my other writing assignments were less than appreciated.

Congratulations on the paper! You deserve a pat on the back for a job well done!
Speaking of Straighterline, I am presently enrolled in their business communications course, and I submitted my first written assignment a few minutes ago. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that the person who grades the paper issues a decent grade, as I have two more graded papers to submit. Since I am submitting this course for ACE credit, all I need is 70 percent at the very end.

For English - it took 24 hours or less to get a grade on the writing assignments. About 2 weeks ago I cranked out 4 in one day and they were all graded within a few hours as long as its early in the day, like noon.
I'm thinking of business communications also after I finish up with the others. English Comp II is a little hard to swallow right now, I'm essayed out at the moment.

Nice job, Kester, you must have really picked up a good structure and the comments show you produced a nice piece of work. Given that you are now at 90% for the course for all the work you have done, it sounds like this is the icing on a highly competent cake
TheCommuter and SRT; we're in the same boat with Business Communications. I've fired off the first two assignments and cracking on with last one, now.
Kester, I think these papers may be graded by a different group from the English Composition and other courses, i.e. not Smartthinking. The assignment drafts go to smartthinking for the usual grammar evals and came back within 24 hours. The final draft is submitted with a different interface which leads me to think maybe SL have contracted different markers for grading the business assignments.

Have you got any words of wisdom for English Comp II (I see you completed it So far the few tests I've taken have been ok. I'm just not seeing the correlation between the course and the graded tests. I'm only on test 3 so far, so its hard to tell.
