Late News: ECPI ABET

I don't know why, but I received an email notifying me ECPI University has earned ABET accreditation for a couple of their programs.  But I recall that they already did get ABET a couple years ago, if not three years ago!  They sent me an email notifying me of this yesterday and gave me a link: https://www.ecpi.edu/blog/ecpi-universit...reditation

I then looked them up on ABET and sure enough, their programs were accredited in 2019! What the heck, why tell me now!?  What clock are they on, or are they so slow to update? LOL, I checked their link/picture and sure enough, it brings me to that blog site without a date of the blog entry... Maybe they just wanted to tell me their program is ABET accredited.

My nephew has been looking for ABET accredited online mechanical engineering or materials engineering degree, which can be accelerated and hopefully does not have too much programming because the degree is just a job checkbox in his field of NDT. We have been looking at ECPI & ASU

Mechanical Engineering Technology is NOT a Mechanical Engineering degree.  Not even close.  So I would skip ECPI and go with ASU, or another school if you can find one.
