I was reading a thread a month or so ago about a person who was rejected from an graduate program because their Bachelors degree was not 100% accredited. The college went on to explain that because the used a certain test (not AP or clep) that gave them credit those credits were not accepted. Thus making there degree invalid. I'm trying to find the thread but am having no luck. I'm trying to find out what testing method they used so I can avoid it. Has anyone seen this thread or a thread like it? They came from a Big 3 school but they used some test that was not accredited.

That is awkward. I haven't seen a thread like that... You'd think that since the degree itself is accredited and that it's from an accredited school, the credits would be by default, accredited.

I'd just select another grad school...lot's of fish in the sea and all that. I also suspect there is a lot we don't really know about this one, I've never heard of this particular issue.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Can you remember any of the users who posted in the thread?

I do not recall this issue being discussed in detail on this forum, but there was a lengthy discussion about a similar issue on another forum:
Certs credit and Master degree
This was about IT Certs and a specific graduate program, and I have no idea if it got resolved satisfactorily. He has an accredited degree, but this program was picky about some of the credits. I am not sure why he was not allowed take more credits after the fact to meet their prerequisites, like is offered for MBA programs. Other programs might have offered a probationary acceptance. I hope it worked out well.
The policies at the Big 3 are so flexible that it is important to check with your grad school of choice to make sure you will meet their requirements and prerequisites for admission.
