Non-US credit evaluation sources accepted by TESU
#1
I have a few A-Levels I took through the British Council, so I asked TESU if they'd take them/what the process was. I thought others might find the list of credit evaluation services helpful:

We will accept the credit recommendations from one of the following agencies when the recommendations are based on a course by course evaluation and sent on an official foreign credential evaluation to TESU:

Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, Inc. (ACEI)
ACEI | The Global Source for Document Evaluation

Center for Applied Research, Evaluations & Education, Inc.
International Evaluation Service Center for Applied Research, Evaluation, and Education, Inc.

Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE)

World Educational Services, Inc. (WES)

All costs associated with the international credit evaluation are the responsibility of the student. The University reserves the right to make its own determination on the amount and type of credit to be awarded based on the evaluations provide by these agencies. Thomas Edison State University does not participate in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). Therefore the University does not sponsor foreign national students for F-1 or J-1 visa status. Course-by-course credit recommendations will be reviewed by Thomas Edison State University based upon existing transfer and degree policies in place at the time of application.

I am British too (dual citizen) and my opinion for what it is worth, would be for you to consider Straighterline etc. or even "USA Stylee" testing out of those A'Level subjects ... the cost and time it will take to transfer them in would be higher and longer.
Unless they are subjects which which are really horribly difficult, I'd put those certificates back in the drawer and look at American means.

And yes I did that, all my British education just got pushed aside and I STEAMED ahead with the American set-up Smile ... the American system is far more student friendly than anything you'll find in the UK Smile

The 1-2 years you'd put into an A'Level, you could probably accomplish within a week or so with a method you'll find on this forum ... the transferring of them will be more costly than what it would be to simply re-do them

Oh, I agree. These are old results from a few years ago. I hadn't planned on taking any more; I would just like to wring a little usefulness out of the ones I already have hilarious

To add to that a little, some of my results could cross over into CLEP tests that I do not have access to in Cambodia. I'm willing to pay a little extra for that, and to save time, which I have little enough of.

FYI according to the site, there is an open (not restricted to US military) CLEP test center in Makati City, Phillipines.

It's kind of a bum deal that they don't have some nice lat/lon/radius search or a google maps interface. Maybe I'll get bored some weekend and make one.

Do you really need to go to a CLEP center for testing? I understand that CLEP maybe slightly more popular than ACE.
If ACE is accepted at the institution you're choosing, it maybe a good idea to go that route or at least include a few courses.
I believe CLEP has about 2900 schools that recognize those for credits, DSST has about the same as ACE at 1900.
